HOW TO MAXIMIZE CANNABIS YIELDS

Increasing light intensity While the period of darkness is almost universally known to be crucial for successful flowering of cannabis, awareness of the importance of light intensity during flowering is somewhat lower among novice growers. Quite simply, the intense light of the daytime feeds the photosynthesis reaction that produces sugar for flower growth, while uninterrupted darkness allows the production and release of the flowering hormone florigen, without which cannabis plants simply do not flower. Therefore, maximising light intensity is one important option when it comes to maximising yield. The typical  indoor grow tent  light is a 600W high-pressure sodium ( HPS lamp ); if this is switched out for a 1000W, the lumens available to the plant increase from around 90,000 to around 135,000. Some growers report their yields almost doubling after switching to 1000W lamps. It is also possible to switch to using two 600W lamps instead of one, which may allow for imp...

Benefits of T5 Fluorescent Hydroponic Grow Lights

图片
Why T5 grow lights? Everybody looks for something better than the sophisticated products for the garden. So, times have changed now. Halide bulbs are no more a choice neither are the sodium lights because they are not that efficient in terms of energy usage and also give off less light than required. T5 bulbs on the other hand are cheaper, more efficient and give off higher yields as compared to any other bulbs. Also they are installed with reflector hoods that increase the coverage to the maximum and increase results in terms of propagation and growth. T5 grow lights are tube shaped bright lights having a diameter of 5/8 inch. Why these lights are known as t5 lights because they are tube shaped and t stands for tube. T5 grow lights are effective and as bright as sun, these lights saves you’re spending on electricity bills and are economical. You can get any size of light depending upon your type, Purpose and size of garden. T5 lights can be a little tough to use for some who ar...

What kind of spectrum is needed to grow cannabis?

What is a Light Spectrum? The visible light spectrum falls between 380 nm to 750 nm (nanometers). This is the spectrum that we as humans can see, but plants use an even broader spectrum of light for photosynthesis. Plants can ‘see’ ultraviolet wavelengths to infrared, and everything in between. In normal outdoor growing conditions, the light spectrum shifts subtly through the seasons. From spring into fall, the light shining on plants determines how they grow. As the seasons changes, plants are triggered to enter into vegetative and then flowering stages of production. 180-280nm - UVC: Extremely harmful and luckily almost completely absorbed by the ozone layer 280-315nm – UVB: Cause of sunburn and suspected to increase THC levels (!) 315-400nm – UVA: Not absorbed by the atmosphere, commonly known as black light 380-750nm – The visible light spectrum: Bands of wave lengths represent visible colours 700nm-1mm – Infrared light: Not visible above 750nm but noticeable as heat on ...
